Slime balls.

These slime balls are an evolution of my gooey slime snippet wich I released a couple of days ago. Still merged with polygonal´s great motor2 physics engine I now enhanced the physiognomy and color-management of each slime ball.

After a view bug fixes and re-engineerings I speeded up the whole performance (fps) as well.
So let´s throw-off some slime ( launch. )

3D refraction impostor.

Recent days I played with pv3d´s 2.0 shading-capabilities. My idea was to create a little impostor-mapping, using pv3d-shaders behind the scenes and draw the output into a bitmapData. So here´s the little AS3-snippet called refraction impostor.

If you move your mouse you can affect the rotation and, in this way the look the refraction. By clicking within the stage you can toggle through different blend-modes.

Finally here are the sources.

Cheers.

Caught.

Last weekend I come upon a view pictures. Seems I´ve held my face a bit to often into a photoflash. So it happenend here (visit Dominic´s blog-entry):

me myself and i 1

And reoccurs here (visit flickr.com)…

me myself and i 2

and finally, once again here… (somewhere.)

So maybe I should be a little more cautious in the future to not being banished on photos so mush in that short time again.

Image quad-pattern transition.

In the course of a current project I´ve scripted this little quadratic pattern effect for image transitions. I´m sorry for choosing those arbitrary range of images in my shown example, but my objects of desire ( these unique scenery-shots ) receded into distance in some way (sadly!).

In that case i just quickly scripted the transition only for use between two images. But it´s easy to extend the class for using the transition for an infinite number of images so you might build an image-gallery or so. For this purpose you can snatch the sources here.

Gooey slime (motor2).

My first motor phyics trial - called gooey slime. To my liking, it´s so easy, comfortable and fast to work with “motor2 physics engine” from Michael Baczynski. Haven´t seen so many experiments based on that great engine yet, except this one simppa posted a view days ago. So lets start smearing all the way thru the 2D-obstacles. And here are the sources.

And at least another smearing-variation. Launch it.

cheers.

Cover name “Motor2″ released.

Polygonal Labs has finally released a brilliant Physics Engine - now called Motor2. Be sure to check the examples ( 200 stacked boxes, polygon soup, compound shapes) and catch the sources here. Btw, Polygonal is always worth a visit, due to the fact that Michael Baczynski´s blog all along has great informations and examples.
