Farewell ‘b.asile’

b.asile” (a.k.a Dominic Gräfen) - a trainee who joined the flashteam at anyMotion for a three month internship set sails to work in Amsterdam next year. Too bad. But I think he enjoyed his time - those were his exact words in his blog - so do I.

So I wish you all the very best and see you soon on FITC´s european debut in Amsterdam. And remember fellow - Niklas, Jan and I will conquer your domicile to stay overnight in these days… ;)

Merry Christmas!

Another 2 weeks break. Holidays are more than important to me this time because of a very swifty and busy year. Now I´m gonna sit back and relax a bit till next year. Have a nice time and see you all at full tilt in 2008.

Cheers.

Hydra.

I guess most of you have already heard, read or even experimented with Adobe´s new shader language. Hydra is so much more than dusty greek mythology - quite the opposite, it´s upcoming and it´s pure pleasure when mingled with Flash in the future. There are several attractive founts of information going along with hydra at the moment, one of my favoured is Joa´s blog, and justifiably so he will speek at FITC Amsterdam ´bout “Chop the Hydra!“. To contribute my share on Hydra I´ve posted a few lines on createordie.de occupying with that subject.

…to give away an iPod.

2 teammates ( aka querkopf and b.asile at german´s flashforum) of the flash-development team I´m leading at anyMOTION Graphics in Duesseldorf have evolved that little nice geographical search-game. It´s a kind of addicting when trying to set the closest spot to the seeked city, but “Hey! You may win an iPod. So…”

Videopuzzles - my latest article.

For a special offline issue of “createordie” about videos online triumphal procession, I wrote a 4-sided example on how to build interactive videopuzzles with Actionscript3 and FLV´s. Sometimes I find it so much better if the output is not based on the internet but just is a good old paper-based magazine ( page turning engine included manually… )
